"I had recently relocated to the SF Bay area after being away 30 years. I was not impressed with online dating services. I regularly attended singles events and belonged to a couple of groups. During the past few years the women I dated were of short duration. I usually only went out with them a couple of times. I did not have the desire to date them further.
IJL had a booth at a singles event. They seemed different and I liked their personal approach. I met Stacey for dinner on March 21, 2006. When IJL called me fro the pre-date briefing, I didn't have high hopes for a good outcome. Stacey did not seam to fit the profile of what I was looking for. To my surprise, the dinner went very well despite our dramatic differences in background; Stacey bein a graduate holding a masters degree, working in the corporate world and me with a degree from the school of hard knocks, having built a small business from the ground up. We found that we had a lot in common and very similar desires for our lives. I think our attraction towards each other also grew in part because of our differences. Meeting Stacey has been the greatest thing that's happened to me. We're engaged to be married on May 3, 2008. I'm so glad to have come across It's Just Lunch. It's made my dreams come true!
